Cordero Lopez

A Mission, Texas native, Cordero Lopez began his academic journey at Rice University before transitioning to the Finance program at the University of Houston–Downtown. While completing his degree, he interned with a Rio Grande Valley-based wealth management firm and later joined full-time.

Over four years, Cordero supported advisors across Texas, helping build portfolios that combined public securities with alternative investments. He gained hands-on experience in portfolio analysis, tax strategies, securities research, and relationship management, and also earned his Series 65 license. He later spent a year in financial accounting, focusing on expense analysis and cost control across multiple business lines.

Outside of work, Cordero enjoys golf, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
